Hi-hi-Hi-ho, it's off to the fields I go.

I went on the field trip to the farm to pick potatoes with the rest of the classes today, and man is that some hard work. I was exhausted today as I was trying to take pictures, keeping kids from impaling themselves with digging tools, and trying to stay interested when the 50th kid showed me the latest potato all at the same time. Last time I did all the manual labor of hauling all of the harvest back to the vans, but today was much more work. I did manage to get a few pictures though.

At lunch I talked to Lara's mother, the german girl that has been here almost a week. She was concerned originally when she got her about the people, but has really warmed up to the hospitality of the school. She didn't originally want to go on the trip out to the farm but once she got heard that someone else spoke English to chat with, she was willing to go. Lunch with her was the first time I heard Lara speak, and it was in German. I think the poor kid is confused, what with learning Korean, English and German simultaneously.

After than I promptly disappeared in my room for a nap, then inhaled enough skittles to give me a sugar high to face the hogwon. The classes have been a nightmare so far, what with a fight between to students, a girl who fell off a chair, and a sick boy, all of whom thought the best way to express how they felt with a large amount of tears. If I can get through a class without seeing tears I will be happy.
