Something is deeply wrong with the world.

Something is going on the in the United States scares me. Why? Because I actually agree with Minister Louis Farrakhan. I'm thinking that this might be the first time ever I can remember this sort of thing happening. It troubles me deeply.

Reasonable Quotes:
"The nation would be more secure if you give the American people a reason to fight. ( by showing us the evidence)"

This is an actual, intelligent statement, from Minister Louis Farrakhan. What the hell is happening? Normally I would expect some comments about racial injustice, or how someone is keeping another person down, but not this.

"There's nothing wrong with asking the American government to show us the proof."

I agree with this statement 100%, and I really can't see another view point being argued rationally. Asking for proof seems like a legit question for me. National security? I don't think we should hide behind something like that since it already happened. At least release all that you CAN tell us without endangering more people through talking about what you know.

We are justified to go after Al-Queda after previous attacks on the USS Cole, but the United States never did in the past. The "non-war" provisional funding is only for the terrorists that attacked us on Sept. 11th only. Shouldn't we be allowed to see why we think it was them and why we are spend $40+ Billion dollars?

Do I think that Bin Laden helped plan these attacks, or in some way fund them. Yes, I think it is reasonable to assume he did. I also think that we should show an example of how the American Justice system should work and present the evidence of his guilt to the world. (technically, it's supposed to be a "jury of his peers, but I don't think a jury made up of crazy American hating terrorists could overcome their bias.)

Dammit, see how upset I am about this thing? I'm posting politics on the main page. Maybe all those X-files episodes I used to watch built up such a healthy distrust of the government. Sue me.
