New hire

As the first step in the process of opening up a dedicated American style kindergarden, the directors hired a new Korean assistant named Grace. She will be in charge of the project and is bring brought up to speed on it as it stands so far.

Appearantly, they are going to be committing to this project fully, as they have been discussing hiring three new foreign teachers that will essentially be doing everything we do now, singing the songs to the children in the kindergarden, and teaching the hogwan.

As much as I won't miss teaching the hogwan, I don't know if I can handle the full on kindergarden responsibilties if I am put in that position. Grace is supposed to be here to help for those little things that can't be explain easily, but the classes are supposed to taught in only English. It's one thing to teach for fourty minutes and then getting a break, but this will be five dedicated hours a day with the same class. Big difference. Hopefully it will all work out for the best, but as of right now I am hopeful but apprehensive.
