Adjusting.

My private meeting got moved to Wednesday, which is fine because I am tired, and I wanted to stay in since it was raining, again. Looks like I will have pleanty of time to write a rambling and barely coherent post in an attempt to fill the "Longer Post" requirement that is leading the popular vote on the poll this week.

Kurt left a cellphone behind that went through the wash. When I looked at it, I thought it was trashed because there is a ball of water under the plastic sitting on the LCD screen. I walked in this morning to see a cellphone sitting on the radiator "drying out". I'm told that as long as you didn't try to turn the phone on while there was water sitting inside it, there is a chance that if you dry it out well enough you can use it again. Should be pretty cool if it works, although I don't know why they want a spare cell. Maybe they can turn it in for a reward or something. As that phone dried out, we went over to Marc's place for pizza and watched the World Series...

Hell of a game, me not being a sports fan in the slightest, even I enjoyed the world series game 7 this year. Everyone here was united in their hatred of the Yankees over they lesser hatred of the Diamondbacks. Good to see the lesser of two evils winning for a change (wait, is that what I want at all?). Reminds me of the last time I was ever watching a World Series game...Uh, well....the time the Reds swept the Athletics, whenever the heck that was (1990?).

Coming from Cincinnati, following local professional sports for the majority of my life would have led to a spiral of depression and binge nacho consumption. It's had coming from a city that has teams suck as bad and as consistenly as Cincinnati does. We're known for it. When posting scores, people ask "How bad did we lose?", not "Did we win?". I'm serious. Cincinnati sports suck that bad. That's one of the major reasons I've never really followed sports teams (Besides Packers Football, a must in our household).

Besides that, I am a geek (as if that hasn't been established before). "Revenge of the Nerds" enforced powerful stereotypes that profoundly influence us all me all to this day. While technically about "Nerds" and not "Geeks", the overtones were fairly clear: Jocks and the "more technically inclined" should not,and can not peacefully coexist. Thus Jocks should go and watch football and drink beer while Nerds should go build websites about Star Trek. (Ugh, Star Trek isn't really for me. I'll keep to my occasional geeky Star Wars posts, thank-you-very-much.)

In site related news, I am going to briefly put up a file for people so they can get exposure to a popular Korean music artist. This is a case of a music download allowing people to get to listen to an artist that they never would have heard before. I think this is a legit reason to post it. Don't expect this to happen often in the future, as webhosts are picky about such things. Kim Gunmo is one of the more popular singers here appearantly. I've been hearing these two songs ever since I got off the plane. I like them both, and they are very catchy, even if I don't understand any of the Korean in them, not that you really need it to enjoy the kicking beats. These are also some of the best songs to got hit the nightclub dancefloor on too.

Related to the music download, I am still waiting for my first submission for my post of about LoopLabs. I'd love to get someone (anyone) with a little musical talent try to come up with some sort of "Theme Song" for the site. Send me something if you dare.
