New Teacher, same old social pressure.
Marc was on the phone with a girl from New Zealand who might become the next teacher. She is reviewing the contract and asking questions like I did when I first heard about this offer. Hopefully she will take the job if she is any good so that we can go back to the "normal" routine as soon as possible.
I had a short temper today and the kids that tried to get away with things expecting me to be the same nice teacher I usually am were in for a surprise. I tossed some of the kids out for their first time ever, and they were in shock that I could get angry enough to do that. I've been here 4 months, and I am starting to loose patience with kids that are constantly disobeying me thinking they can always do it because I don't anything other than yell once or twice. I have to take a hard stance now, or otherwise they will get out of control when the newer teachers arrive.
I am supposed to go out with Marc and Mr.Director to go drinking tonight. I don't know where we are going, what we are drinking or anything like that. I haven't been drinking much at all recently, since the whole "Drinking alone" thing isn't my style. I hope I don't wake up with a dehydrated with a pounding headache tomorrow.
