The Question: What do you want to see more of ?
The Answers (Near Tie) : Longer Posts / More Photosets.
Last week's post was to help me make this web-dictatorship that I like to pretend is a democracy run a little smoother. In an effort to appease the masses, I asked you what you wanted to see from this website. Not surprisingly, you asked for more content, but I was surprised it was in the form of longer post and more pictures.
It's not like I don't mind trying to write more. Hell, I want to churn out a longish sized post whenever possible, it's just with screaming kids and time pressures on computer use before I have to teach a class, it's had to come up with the ability to come up with some quantity on a frequent basis outside of the normal barrage of postings on Sunday.
I also assume that the people that answered "Longer Posts" would also like them to be of the same relative quality as the posts now, and not just me pressing down the "X" key accidentally as I stay up trying to write a novel for each update.
Now as for the Photosets, I admit that I was generally slacking with them. It's not hard for me to go out and snap pictures based on an event we are doing at school, and attach a cute little comment for each one in notepad. So why haven't I been doing it more often? I don't know. It might have to do with the fact that my immediate surroundings no longer strike me as exotic on a day to day basis. Sure, I see things I would never see in America, but the shock has began to wear off now. Just because I am half-way around the world, a picture of a not out of the usual shop isn't any more exciting to you than it is to me, unless, say, that shop happens to sell dog meat (they don't want you to snap a picture of that though).
Also, my camera has a terrible battery sucking power that makes snapping a large number of photographs inconvenient if I don't pack a few back up power sources, but that is a minor inconvenience. I will make an attempt to appease the readers and increase my photo taking, right after I buy a large box of batteries. I'll continue to try to group them in somewhat of a coherent fashion, caption them, and zip them up for the easiest possible download too. Please comment on anything you want to see in particualr.
Today's Poll was inspired by last nights movie "The Score" which, while set in Canada, was devoid of nearly everything I assosiate with the country. Now I want to find out what you think of when you hear the word "Canada". Vote, Willya Eh?
