Saved from a bad day.

Ever have a day where you drag yourself out of bed, splash some water in your face, trudge all the way to work (50 feet in my case), prepared for the worst? Today was like that for me, but luckily the kindergarden kids went on a field trip to the local Fire Station and I didn't have to go. That meant I had some time to post pictures, and to sleep.

It was rainy and dreary today, but the heat was on in the building, so it made teaching in the Hogwon terribly uncomfortable. I was developing a headache walking from one temperature and having children scream in my ear, then moving to another classroom and having different kids yelling in my ear.

While chatting about what is going on with the school, I found out we might possibly be getting another new teacher in a few weeks. I have no information about that rumor, but if it is true, Marc advised me to talk to Mr. Director about getting my own apartment provided for me so I can move out. I have to say I am delighted at that prospect.

Samantha and I went out to dinner, mainly because she doesn't have a set of keys or a phone, and couldn't do much without me going with her. I took her to a Korean chicken place, and successfully ordered our meal, even though it was mainly pointing at what we wanted.

The lady was trying to express something intently in Korean, but we both had no idea what it was so we sort of assumed it had to do with the face we were served two orders on one plate. I didn't really care, seeing as how we had successfully gotten the chicken in the first place, and whether or not it was on a seperate plate was arbitrary to me.

My Korean is terrible, so she might have been expressing concerns over geopolitical politics as it related to America's status as a superpower as far as I know, but she was pointing at the chicken, so I assume whatever she was telling me had to do with that. I'll be happy when I can order something entirely in Korean and know what is going on. Must study harder....
