Snow Day, not likely.
Even though we had an earlier flirtation with snow last week (maybe 2 weeks ago?), today it has been steadily snowing all day, much to everyone's delight. It's starting to accumulate on the ground, which surprised me since I didn't think it was cold enough for that yet.
In Korea it's considered proper and good to like Winter best, so the kids all love to see snow and get excited about building snowmen. The teachers are more interested in getting a day off school for school than the children are. Samantha had never actually seen snow fall from the sky, as the part of Austrailia she is from doesn't reach below 20C (70F) degrees!
Marc, Samantha and I went down to Ha-shin-ko-a (Fashion mall) and ate some kimbap and some other "near" sushi dishes. Marc is trying to slowly evolve my taste buds. It's working fairly well, since a few months ago I would gag tasting seaweed and now I can eat meals featuring it rather prominently (Not the soup though, that's just nasty). Evolve or die (or in my case, starve on rice).
While it's nice to see snow, since Korean's are already terrible drivers, I can't imagine what snow will add to the accident rates. I'm going to be on my toes whenever I cross the street all winter.
Other than that, I started reading my "Fight Club" novel. It's difficult reading the book and not thinking of the movie, and it's written very loosly so it switches themes quickly. I would probably be confused if I hadn't seen the movie, but I won't enjoy it as much since I have. (shrugs)
Now, time to see if I can still pick a snowball fight with the Korean teachers before they leave (laughs maniacally)
