::gasp:: I saw a movie I liked!
After a string of disappointments in the movie theater, I hope that December will be the month for movies. The prospects are hopeful, what with "Harry Potter", "Lord of the Rings" and "Monsters INC." all being released here this month.
Today though I saw "American Pie 2". I don't know what caused it to be release here so late. It must be all the slang, or some marketing ploy, I don't know. I was going to go with my high school drinking buddies, but they bailed because "Oh, I have a part time job and I have no time, I'll call you". Pheff, blown off by someone in High School. Wow, that reminds me of most of my time in high school...( Urge to kill rising...).
Anyway, lest I get all broody, I actually ended up seeing the movie with Marc since he called me to tell me about something he set me up for while he is gone, and possibly to take over when he returns. Anyway, he and I ended up laughing our asses off at a predictable, yet enjoyable teen sex flick. I had forgot enough of the trailers, and never bothered reading spoilers, so I went in only knowing a little more than what I remember from the first one...which basically would entail Shannon Elizabeth's breasts and that's about it. While there is some nudity, the more entertaining parts where the Jason Biggs character and his "wacky" situations. Funny guy, too bad he's always going to be remembered as the guy that "humped a pie". Wait, looks like I remember two things from the first movie.
While I was waiting around for the movie and Marc to show up, I wandered into probably the best music store I have found. Luckily I was carrying my headphones on me so I didn't have to listen to the awful "Toni Braxton exploits Christmas" album, or whatever it is called. While seeing some absolutely scary things, I found Weezer's "Green" album, and moby's "songs" album. I bought those since those are some of the few artists besides, say, the Gorillaz that I don't mind paying for since I had 90% of the songs already in one form or another on mix cds. Sure, it's not like my purchase of these albums will lead to the artist actually GETTING any of the money (damn greedy RIAA), but at least I can feel like I tried to help those poor multimillionaires continue to make music, because without my hard earned Won, how are they going to get to sleep tonight.(sarcasm) (Answer: Well, and probably with many women. Lucky punks, I wish I learned how to play guitar. Wait, maybe I don't.)
