Mr. Playboy.

After a day spent sleeping of course I couldn't sleep at all last night. I tossed and turned, and was wakened by my nemesis, the chicken next door at daybreak. (How sad is it that my nemesis could be defeated with Alka-Seltzer?) Rather than listening to that, I went into my bathroom with my heavy covers and pillows, set up a makeshift bed, and slept in complete silence. My bathroom is also completely dark with the door closed, so I awoke in darkness, which is very disorienting at first.

Since I had a rough night, and had a headache-y kind of feeling of general ill will towards teaching, what did I end up doing all day? Well, teaching more than my fair share of classes of course. I got introduced to more of Marc's acquaintance's, and was even taken over to the school where he will be working at in January called BCM.

The owner of this franchise of schools is going to be South Korea's next cabinet minister (or whatever the position is called) of education this coming year. A very important person in the education field to know, no doubt. Anyway, Marc went to a meeting earlier in the day and hobknobed with him. I checked out the school while I was there, which is small and functional compared to Rawoori, but seemed to have better organization and a better sense of direction in leadership, which can make a big difference.

G, the former computer teacher here at Rawoori is working as a secretary at BCM currently. She is waiting for her college test results to see if she got into her school to continue studying dance. I don't really know the full story about how she got involved with BCM, but anyway, we talked for a little while and I invited her out to see Harry Potter this Friday. She insisted bring Marc and Carey when I go, and if she can get off work she'll come.

Score one for me, but I still sort of promised I would go with the Korean teachers here on the same day. Whoops. I can always try to pull of the classic sitcom "Two dates at once" thing, or hope that the Korean teachers were just being spur of the moment/polite instead of really wanting to go with me.
