Christmas times in Korea.
As I mentioned yesterday, I couldn't wait to try out my new GPS gadget, so I went downtown and marked all sorts of landmarks so that I can navigate nearly anywhere I want to go and not get lost again. It was a minor annoyance trying to get a clear view of the sky with all the buildings packed in so tightly, but it got accomplished eventually.
Much to my pleasure, last night I figured out how to dial home to talk to my parents for the holidays. I had a nice long chat and opened up my presents while on the phone. I'm still waiting for their Christmas package to arrive here, so it was sort of anti-climatic to open up the gifts I had been seeing in my room for the past few months. I had tried to forget about having them as to remove the temptation of opening them all early. At least more things are on the way.
I woke up this morning to find snow on the ground and several of my friend's emails in my mailbox wishing a Merry Christmas. It's turning out to be a great holiday so far, but I haven't been able to watch the traditional 24 hours of "A Christmas Story" that is required for me to get into the Christmas mood, and like previously discussed, there is no turkey to be stuffed with until the point of vomitting indulged in either. Can't win them all.
