I need my digital line fixed. PRONTO.
If you haven't noticed, my spelling errors are likely to have increased recently as I am forced to return to the PC-bong for the first time since my computer got an DSL line. I can't express how much I hate to have to return to these places after I paid money for both a laptop and a DSL line, but my internet connection has been cut off for some unknown reason, and I haven't been able to get anyone to do anything about it at work.
Something needs to happen. Soon.
These places might have been acceptable when I had no other choice when updating this site, but just sitting here, trying to collect my thoughts for a post slowly drives me mad. The noise...the unbearable NOISES! People playing online GoStop with their volume loud enough to let me hear EVERY CARD DROP! The digital avatars laughing as they collect points. The K-pop drivel leaking out of the speakers...it's enough to drive someone mad.
I can enjoy a visit to a Pc-Room if Age of Mythology is involved, but recently I've been getting game crashes so often I don't even bother to play anymore. Now it's just me, coming in to post, then leave before I have to hear someone's computer yell about a lack of "Vespene Gas". I honestly don't know how I could stand these places last year.
Having a computer in my room means I can calmly, mentally shift through my day to get out what I want for the website. I can compartmentalize my day into different activities, then try to develop some sort of concept....well, in theory I can. Now, when I go to a PC-bong to post I have to have all of this ready in my head before I go, otherwise I just begin staring at people around the room, trying to quantify their rude behaviors on some sort of scale.
"Is the woman chain smoking more rude than the person blaring the same three songs endlessly? What about the person hacking up a lung into their ashtray, or the kids yelling about StarCraft from across the room?"
No wonder people can drop over dead at a place like this. I've been here an hour and I want to scream.
