We did not have any problems with the food when we visited China last winter. In fact, we all thought the food was good. But there again we may have gone to different styles of resturants than the ones you will be going to. In regards to the restrooms....... YES definitely take paper!!!! Many of the restrooms at the tourist areas are rated 0 to 5 stars. There were signs at some areas to show the rating score. If it was a 4 or 5 star restroom we found paper and it was clean! The lower the score the worse the restroom. Luckily, for Grandma and the cousins with us on the trip, I always bring a roll of paper no matter where I go on vacation! One of the handy items in my backpack! Along with camera, extra battery, an extra chip, bottle of water and (oh yes) leave space for souvenirs! I told Grandma and the girls that they had to be nice to me because if not I would cut the paper supply off. If I got desperate for cash I was going to sell it to them! Well now there are 3 more tourist that will be carrying paper on vacations after the China trip! We all had a good laugh or two in regards to the restrooms! Have fun!
