All is well
Korean life, Parenting July 9th. 2009, 10:45amFor those out of the email/Twitter/Facebook/SMS/Skype loop, my wife and I are now lucky enough to call ourselves parents. My wife delivered our daughter yesterday morning after an intense labor. This is our first child. She is healthy and beautiful. We’ve been spending the past day recovering from the late night delivery and meeting friends and family at the hospital. It’s been a pretty tiring time, but rewarding and awesome too.
No problems to speak of, and I have a day off work today to recouperate. Two days of paid vacation in Korea for a foreigner at an academy? It’s damn near unheard of (and would be, if I didn’t negotiate my contract to allow for it. Ugh.) Anyway, back to the recovery room where my wife and daughter (!) await.
