Today is our wedding anniversary. It was much too cold to go outside with Glow and head to a restaurant as our normal routine dictates. This is the first anniversary I’ve had off to spend the entire day with my wife in recent memory. We decided that because of the weather, we’d eat our normally enormous meal inside for a change. I went out shopping (while hungry. Always a mistake!) and picked up what we needed for the celebration. I returned home and went about cooking for the wife while she put Glow to sleep for her nap. We ate quite the feast today. It was all made well and we finished far too much.

Not only did we have a date at home for lunch, but we also have plans for a movie date at home today too. We’re finishing off the Korean vampire movie Thirst, which is about a million times better than Twilight, and that’s being kind to Twilight. It has one of my favorite Korean actors, Song Kang-ho and is made by my favorite Korean director, Park Chan-wook. It is still a vampire movie for good or bad, but at least the damn vampires aren’t covered in glitter. Ugh.

Other than that it’s been another very nice, very relaxed day. I played a lot of Team Fortress 2, and even managed to be first on a server full of terrible players once. It’s the best I’ve ever done at an online shooter. I really enjoy TF2 because of the variety of classes and strategies. It’s really very well made, and I totally dig the style with the retro look and the whole feel of the game so far. I’m terrible at it, but there are achievements and weapons to unlock, so I’ll be playing it forever. It’s kind of scary, as I’ll sit down to play a game, look at the clock and realize that hours have passed by unchecked. It’s a giant time suck, but so fun!
