		<description>If any of my students could spell well enough to add an extra "U" now and again, I would. 

I've had lots of Canadian and English coworkers that get attitudes with "American Spelling" if I don't recognize "The Queen's" spelling. I usually point out that language evolves, and that spelling changes occur over time for a multitude of reasons. Getting it "in the ballpark" is more of the point when teaching kids anyway. Very rarely does spelling count for something in my classes, unless it is a phonics or spelling test.</description>
