Weird Al Meme
Site December 14th. 2007, 12:58amA good college friend invented an extreme niche meme that I basically HAD to participate in. Keep in mind I was only allowed to own one Weird Al cassette tape when I was growing up, “Polka Party“. The rest I knew I either taped off the radio, or were introduced to when I met my geek crew at college. Feel free to pass on the meme and link to us.
Personal Top Ten Original Weird Al Songs (AKA, not parodies.)
10. Albuquerque*
6. Dog eat Dog
1. Bob***
Some notes:
*(I blame my college friends for this.)
**(Christmas at Ground Zero is basically the perfect song for growing up next to a nuclear processing facility. This is the song that made me a Weird Al fan. My mom thought I was morbid for finding this hilarious. Keep in mind I was only around 7 years old when this was released.)
***(I’ve used this as teaching material and talked about it on my blog.)

I had the “In 3-D” on vinyl way back when all the other kids had Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Motley Crue. They used to make fun of me for being a Weird Al fan.
Who’s having the last laugh now, huh?
My list:
1. Dare to be Stupid
2. Don’t Download This Song
3. One More Minute
4. Good Enough for Now
5. Good Old Days
6. You Don’t Love Me Anymore
7. This is the Life
8. Twister
9. Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung (Cageian use of accordion)
10. Mr. Popeil
