Set the region to USA. They don't filter anything based on IP for the store or for updates. However, Yongsan has absolutely NO American games, and they don't do mod chips anymore due to Nintendo upgrading the firmware. Buy games online, don't support pirates. Also, you need a "downstream power converter" for the plug to keep from blowing the fuse, but anything you bring from the USA to Korea requires that. @Zen: Absolutely no problems.
