I know there is an archery range right above and to the Southwest of Ppuri park (and Zooland) near me in the Southern part of Daejeon. The targets are much farther away than what I saw in that video though. BTW, it’s odd that they only show the arrow leaving the bow and then hitting the target. I now wonder if it really happened or was it a recreation like on “Mythbusters.” After seeing dinosaurs brought to life and a man flying in an iron suit on film and tons of odd stuff photoshopped seamlessly, I have a hard time buying into true-life reality anymore.

Nothing says that has to be “tournament level” distances when recreating a myth like that. Also when you fire an arrow, you CAN’T see it save for a powerful high speed camera.They had two of those, but they didn’t set up one for the entire flight of the arrow. The dude is a Olympic archer on the Korean team. Lying would only get him in trouble.
If you are going to CONSTANTLY be doubting EVERYTHING ALL the time because it might have been faked, you won’t enjoy anything on the Internet at all.

You must have been here for an Olympics already…didn’t you notice that instead of showing lots of Athletics and swimming like they do in the west, in Korea they spend an inordinate amount of time showing archery and wrestling, where Korea are relatively strong

looks staged to me. Why is the camera aimed at the end of the arrow already embedded in the target? shouldn’t it show us the target?
also the mythbusters did robin hood and showed that it is possible, but the first arrow always splits due to the wobble of the incoming arrow - arrows do not fly strait.
I call bullshit.

@3 I was in Europe during the last Olympics in 2006. Also, I don’t WATCH the Olympics because I think it’s a massive waste of time.
@4 I don’t think that is a normal first arrow in the target. The shaft of the first arrow is clearly hollow. I think they simply placed an arrow sized tube in the target. I don’t think the Mythbusters “rule” of always breaking down the grain of the shaft applies to this particular stunt.
The first shot might have never occurred, just a hollow arrow shaft was placed in the target, an they saw if they could hit it. I didn’t make this clip, I don’t know.

Besides making the subjects look slimmer than they really are, there are even camera models that remove blemishes and acne, but my favorites are the ones that add UFOs and Nessie to the shots.
