		<description>Sounds like you're catching up with the American educational system.  Every school I observed had the same scenario you describe.  All the data is accesible via the web so that parents can see it.  When student teaching I was repeatedly reprimanded for not having the attendance in the system less than two minutes into class.  Nevermind that my first priority is trying to actually get kids to sit down and shut up so that I could actually &lt;em&gt;take&lt;/em&gt; attendance.  Then the grading...oy!</description>
