Walking to the restaurant I usually visit once a week on a lunch break during intensive classes, I noticed that movie theaters in Daejeon got The Dark Knight, the latest Batman flick, earlier than I expected. I thought it would take until this weekend to see this movie, and I had been waiting in anticipation for it for quite some time since the Internet Buzz has been overwhelmingly positive.
I dragged my wife along since she was around when I got home from work. Her mother has paid a woman to stay with her for the length of her hospital stay. My wife will sit with her mother during the weekend only. Freed of that, she was able to see a late night viewing.
I was blown away by the movie. We had watched the Tim Burton version of Batman with The Joker that I liked as a child a few weeks ago in anticipation. We both agreed that we liked this version of the Joker much better. She said, “He really seemed to be enjoying the death he was causing.”
I’m happy she was willing to sit through yet another Superhero movie.
