Uh...our dog is potty trained, and uses his pad very well. He hasn't made a mistake in the house since he was a puppy. The only new idea here is that we're letting in the house all day long unsupervised where he could potentially use the pad, but walk around the house with some dirty feet if he walks in it.

We don't want to have to use it when we're not there simply because he sometimes walks in his mess and gets it around the house. Cleaning up the veranda isn't a big deal, but the entire house? That's a lot of work. Then he needs a bath, which stresses him out more. It's as much a comfort issue for him as it is for us.

My dog is awesome, and I think you might be projecting a little bit with your vitriol. He's not restraining himself in the house at all. He has more freedom now, outside his cage, than he has had in the past. We're willing to let him sleep on the couch when we go to bed because we know he's well trained enough to take care of his messes himself.

When it's cold, he needs a longer walk, that's all.

I'm curious why you have a dog. Is it some kind of vanity thing, to have a creature's nonjudgemental devotion? Are you trying to prove some point about your desireability - at least to a dog? Keep up appearances? Compete with the Joneses?
I only ask because you nor your wife don't seem fond of the poor animal at all. Perhaps you'd be better off with a stuffed animal. They have no offensive bodily functions, don't require grueling walks, and save money on petfood. In fact, they require no effort of any kind.
It appears your dog is already voluntarily restraining its bodily needs to an unnatural degree. How would you be able to handle such a regimen? You're oblivious to the fact that this is most likely due to its unrequited devotion to you.
There are such things as dog potty-training pads and boxes. Please research before throwing your arms up in disgust at an innocent, dependent, and helpless animal.

Wow! Cool review! Thx to you, I am not going to waist my time and money getting that mTrans. But I really wanted a document reader for studies or a comic book reader! Now that the SDK is out, I bet that the first applications will be coming from Korea, specially a comic book reader :P . I am counting on you for the diggs in Korean websites ;) .

Oh no, it doesn't do that natively. You need to convert it with mTrans software. I've finished my review of that piece of software and the viewing experience on the Cowon O2, and it isn't pretty. You won't be able to use it to study, or do much of anything with it. Check the Nov.17 post for clarification.

I'm new to the Cowon and I thought it would read PDF's/Word documents from a Mac. Are you saying this is not the case or you need to buy special software? If this is not supported this would suck as I used my iPod a lot for studying. Thanks!

New Firmware!? Improved support for an SDK? AN SDK!? Wow! I certainly imagine that if the programs allow for file access a Comic Book Reader will be a high priority. Sweet.

I ordered my cowon o2! cant wait to get my hands on it! Ah! and there is a new update to the firmware available and it sounds interesting!!
I read "Support to run programs which made by the user program SDK" !!!
SDK probably for software development!! So I am expecting for more programs to be available for the cowon o2. And possibly a comic book reader import. I am just hoping a programmer would be interested to work on that!
